I joined a Novel Track course where we set word count goals and cheer each other on as we strive to meet them. My goal for July is 25,000 words.

I also have to prepare material for two workshops I'm teaching on August 13 & 14. I've started on one, but have quite a bit of work ahead of me.

I think that's about all I'll have time for this month.

What about you guys? Any particular goals your shooting for?

I wrote half a chapter for my new book yesterday. I know it doesn't sound terribly agressive, but I would like to write about a chapter a month so I'm well on my way for this month! Smile

As far as business, I need to meet with a potential new consultant for Gurrlie Girl this week and set up a phone call with the new owner of Affordable Mineral Makeup to get to know her. Smile

I think half a chapter sounds like a ton! Especially since I've been so slow going lately - like only a page or two at a time. Ugh.

You're right - you're well on your way. Smile

Thank you. Smile I didn't mean the half chapter wasn't agressive, but that my one chapter per month goal was pretty laid back. Yes, I'm thrilled with half a chapter in one sitting! Very Happy
It's all in God's timing. A page or two at a time isn't a reason for "Ugh" but great progress that you continue moving forward. Usually I only hit a line or two or maybe a couple paragraphs at a time.

I think you all are awesome getting as much written as you do.

I thought I'd have time to get started on my mini novel this summer. This has been in my head for OVER a year. But I'm still striving to complete my cleaning goals for the brief season I have to do those. Only one main area left to clean and that begins today. Should be done late tomorrow with that hopefully.

Not much summer will remain before we start our homeschool lessons August 2nd so maybe I can at least get a couple of paragraphs written before those begin, then I can work on a couple of paragraphs a week throughout the school year.

I also have a couple of patterns to complete before the end of the month. So that's a pretty full plate for July.....for me anyway. Ü

I homeschooled for a year - it is SUCH a heavy commitment. I admire anyone who sticks it out. It wasn't for me. LoL

I LOVE homeschooling! I was terrified the first year then as more and more info has become available on the internet, it has also become much easier.
